On March 10 and 11, Marseille hosted the 36th EYE Network Meeting, the gathering of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) network, organized by the European Commission, EISMEA, and Eurochambres, with the support of risingSUD. The event brought together the program’s Intermediary Organizations (IOs) in person to share progress, address questions, and strengthen cooperation among organizations from across Europe.
The first day, held at the MUCEM, focused on the latest developments in the program, with an opening session featuring representatives from the Aix-Marseille-Provence region, the European Commission, and EISMEA, along with several presentations, a panel discussion, and Q&A sessions. The agenda continued with three parallel sessions: a forum focused on the IO perspective, a session dedicated to promoting the milestone of 15,000 EYE exchanges, and a space to raise more specific questions with EISMEA. The meeting also included a special networking activity among organizations from different consortia and concluded the first day with a dinner at the MUCEM. The second day, held at Friche la Belle de Mai, took on a more operational focus and included consortium meetings, a panel discussion on Marseille’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, and contributions from stakeholders such as Top 20 Le Club, La Métropole, La French Tech, and La Plateforme, alongside entrepreneurs involved in the program.
In this context, the YEIM UP consortium, of which Inneürope is a member, made the most of the meeting to strengthen its internal coordination and continue advancing its shared strategy. Made up of partners from France, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Germany, Spain, and Italy, the consortium held working meetings focused on the current state of the program, the review of key milestones, and the planning of upcoming actions. These sessions made it possible to share progress, assess the number of exchanges already carried out, and discuss the work being done to recruit New Entrepreneurs and Host Entrepreneurs, further strengthening collaboration among partner organizations.
Beyond the event itself, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs continues to establish itself as a key initiative for fostering entrepreneurship in Europe. The program gives new entrepreneurs the opportunity to complete stays of 1 to 6 months alongside experienced business owners in other participating countries, supporting hands-on learning, mentoring, internationalization, and the creation of collaborative networks. With more than 15 years of experience, over 14,500 exchanges, and a presence in more than 45 countries, EYE has become a highly valuable tool for those looking to launch or grow their business project with a European dimension.
