Inneürope launches Startups4Defense, a key initiative for startups and tech SMEs aiming to position themselves in the European defense sector.
This programme is designed to identify, support, and promote startups and tech SMEs in strategic areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, aerospace, biotechnology, health, or any other field linked to security and defense, connecting them with the main innovation and funding instruments of the European defense ecosystem.
A bridge between innovation and European defense
Startups4Defense, part of Startups4Growth, is a free programme, valued at €5,000, that offers participants:

Expert guidance to join the European Incubation and Acceleration Programme EUDIS.

Access to European funding mechanisms (EUDIS and EDF) totalling more than €2.1 billion in 2025.

Strategic visibility for their solution and direct connections with major players in the defense industry.

Key networking with defense hubs, accelerators, and investors.
An initiative aligned with Europe’s strategic challenges
Startups4Defense addresses the need to strengthen Europe’s technological base in defence by fostering collaboration between innovative talent and the industry’s leading players.
It is an initiative of INNDIH, driven by Inneürope, and co-funded by the European Union, as part of its commitment to promoting a more competitive and connected innovation ecosystem in response to Europe’s strategic challenges.
From concept to ecosystem integration
Selected startups will receive comprehensive support, from proposal preparation and proof of concept (PoC) development to direct connections with key stakeholders, ensuring their projects align with European defense priorities and standards.
