The HumAIne project brought us together in the vibrant city of Groningen, Netherlands, for its 5th General Assembly. This event was an essential oppo
rtunity to share updates, strengthen collaboration among partners, and align on the project’s next steps. It was a productive and insightful experience, providing valuable knowledge and a clear vision of where we’re headed with Human-AI collaboration.
Day 1: Technical Updates and Key Progress
Day 1 was all about updating project partners on key project developments. We heard about important progress on the HumAIne platform, pilot activities, use cases, and training resources currently being developed.
One of the most notable discussions revolved around how HumAIne is helping bridge the gap between human expertise and AI technology in industries like smart cities, digital healthcare, manufacturing, energy, and customer service management. It was inspiring to see how AI solutions are already making a tangible impact in these areas, while also understanding the challenges that remain as we close the second year of the project and begin focusing on the third and final year.
Day 2: Stakeholder Workshop on AI Collaboration
On Day 2, we headed to the House of Connections in downtown Groningen for a workshop titled “Industrial Intelligence Powered by Hu
man-AI Collaboration“. This event allowed the industrial sectors involved in the project to showcase their advancements to a group of stakeholders, followed by live demonstrations and interactive feedback sessions.
The sectors represented—manufacturing, energy, digital healthcare, customer service, and e-government services—presented real-world AI applications, offering a glimpse into the future of AI integration. The hands-on demos and direct feedback will be invaluable to learn how to finetune both the pilot projects and the HumAIne platform that empowers them.
Inneürope’s Role in HumAIne
At Inneürope, we play a pivotal role in HumAIne, particularly in the areas of dissemination, exploitation, standardization, and stakeholder training. We lead two essential tasks: T7.4 Training, Reskilling, and Upskilling Activities, and T7.5 Community and Ecosystem Building, and are also responsible for T5.4—the development of training programs and the creation of a Learning Center within the HumAIne platform.
Our focus is to create specialized training programs tailored to both technical and non-technical users. This ensures that everyone involved in HumAIne receives the right training to effectively use the platform’s tools and capabilities.
Through the Learning Center and our series of webinars, we are providing opportunities for professionals to gain deeper insights into topics such as the EU AI Act and Swarm Learning. These educational efforts are critical to preparing the workforce for the AI-driven future in industries across the board.
