Inneürope, one of Spain’s most experienced companies in managing European programs — with 150 projects handled and €800 million mobilized for its clients through initiatives like Horizon Europe, EIT, Digital Europe, and Next Generation, among others — has announced that it will establish its new International Innovation Hub (I2Hub) at La Marina de Valencia. The I2Hub will primarily target multilateral development banks and international organizations, focusing its projects on the implementation of Tech4Dev and Climate4Good challenges.
In the words of its Founder, Fran Estevan:“After a year of working closely with international actors from Asia and LATAM, and analyzing the potential of our startups in verticals such as climate and health, we have decided to commit to a highly disruptive program that will help us bring the best technology in the world to the places where it is most needed.”
The International Innovation Hub by Inneürope is presented as an innovation program that connects the major global challenges of the millennium in areas like climate, health, and education with prominent players on the international stage. As Estevan further emphasized: “We have just launched our first open innovation challenges with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), one of the key players in the Asia-Pacific region, which invests $30 billion annually in projects. However, we are already in discussions with additional partners across Africa, LATAM, and the EU. From the perspective of startups, we aim for Europe’s best technological solutions to address the challenges we present, enabling them to establish themselves in various international markets and grow organically.”
Last week, Inneürope presented its second challenge with ADB at the Web Summit, this time within the framework of IT Finance Data. The company also recently announced that 53 companies from around the world participated in the ESG Calculator Challenge, also with ADB. However, as Estevan noted: “This challenge is just the beginning. In the coming weeks, we will launch more challenges in different verticals and continents, always maintaining international connectivity and the Tech4Good model as our hallmarks.”
In addition, Inneürope will align these initiatives with its projects in Africa and its European Training School. According to its CEO, Elena Femenía: “For us, this is a great opportunity to create synergies between these initiatives and some of the programs we have already been implementing in Europe and Africa. Moreover, we will internationalize our training program on fundraising, combining the financing expertise we already had with our focus on innovation.”
In the coming weeks, the company will roll out its international strategy from The Terminal Hub, a key location for connecting with the ecosystem. Paloma Mas, the hub’s director, also emphasized the importance of this partnership:
