Inneürope took part on 13–14 November in the 35th edition of the EYE Network Meeting, held in Brussels within the framework of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) programme. Our organisation attended the meeting as an Intermediary Organisation within the Young Entrepreneurs In Motion UP (YEIM UP) project, together with more than one hundred representatives from intermediary entities across Europe.
During the sessions, the European Commission presented the latest updates of the programme, including progress on the IT Tool, new participation figures, and the next steps of the programme within the upcoming 2028–2034 Multiannual Financial Framework. The progress of the EYE programme in Ukraine was also highlighted, underlining the European commitment to entrepreneurship in contexts of reconstruction and resilience.
The event opened with a keynote speech by Crispin Waymouth, representative of the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW), who emphasised the key role of young entrepreneurship in Europe’s competitiveness. Updated programme data were also shared, showing more than 58,000 applications, 36,500 accepted entrepreneurs, and 14,000 exchanges carried out since 2009.
The agenda included thematic workshops focused on improving collaboration quality, strengthening networks, and digitalising management processes. These sessions served as a platform for sharing best practices and exploring new cooperation opportunities among the various Intermediary Organisations.
Participation in this 35th edition reinforces the commitment to fostering young entrepreneurship in Europe, promoting collaboration between new ideas and established host organisations.
